Because I've been there, right where you are. Let me tell you my story.
A few years ago I was hired to teach English online via a video conference equipment in a language institute teaching school children.
I thought I was going to rock it, since I was a trained teacher experienced in teaching children.
However, I quickly discovered that was not the case. I had to learn, mostly by trial and error, how to multitask, how to deal with state-of-the-art equipment, how to use interactive resources...
It was a steep learning curve, believe me.
A couple of years later, I decided to start freelancing, I wanted to teach online to students from all over the world, to when I wanted and from home, or from anywhere in the world. Now, I was sure I was going to rock it!
